Medical Clinic Facilities

A partnership with the East Gippsland Regional Clinical School (a Commonwealth Program) and the Victorian Government GP's Community Health Strategy, has enabled Orbost Regional Health to establish a purpose built medical clinic on the Multi Purpose Service site.
A facility with nine consulting rooms, treatment room and modern reception area provides a comfortable environment for our rural medical doctors and medical students, as well as a number of support services, including practice nurse, mental health, midwives clinic, medical library, and women's health and visiting medical services. This attractive environment is linked to the hospital and Community Health Services at the Boundary Road Multi Purpose Service campus.

Practice Management is assigned to Orbost Regional Health, including the employment of medical reception staff and practice management.
Orbost Regional Health assists in the accreditation of the medical clinic and provides a walk-in walk-out arrangement for rural General Practitioners to enable them to concentrate on patient care. The co-location of the medical clinic enables easy access to admitted hospital patients, emergency care and outpatient clinic.
