Governance Officer - Part Time Fixed Term

Governance Officer

24 hours per week

Fixed Term until June 2025

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Governance Officer will manage the health service’s legislative compliance framework. The Governance Officer will advise and provide oversight on compliance issues relating to legislative compliance across the health service. 

The successful applicant must possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (degree in law is desirable but not essential) or equivalent experience in legislative compliance in a highly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and timely advise to senior management and staff on legislative compliance matters and demonstrated ability to interpret legislative requirements and to advise on appropriate responses
  • Demonstrated ability to work individually or as a team member within strict timeframes and operate with a high level degree of independent judgement and initiative within broad guidelines.
