We are seeking input from the community about what changes and improvements the health service should prioritise.
The ORH Community Needs Survey will gather feedback from local people about their experiences with the health service, and invite suggestions for what new services, programs or facilities would be most beneficial for the specific needs of this community.
Director of Community Services at ORH, Mitchell Schwenke, says the health service is always aware it needs to change and evolve to meet the needs of the community.
“We are constantly thinking about improvement,” Mitchell said. “We know there are always things we can do better, new services we can bring into the community. But it is only by hearing directly from local people that we can understand clearly what those improvements need to be.”
“Please take our Community Needs Survey. For just a few minutes of your time, you’ll help shape the future of healthcare in this community.”
The ORH Community Needs Survey asks local people what new services they would like to see offered by ORH, and what current services are most important to them.
It also seeks the community’s input on the planned expansion of aged care services at ORH.
“Redevelopment plans are underway to expand the current Lochiel House facility and increase the number of residential aged care places we can provide,” Mitchell said. “We’d love to hear from the community what they’d like to see in that expanded facility. Tell us what you think the best aged care service should look like. What are we missing? What can we do better?”
